Who Is Beerus?
The God of Destruction of Universe 7 — a cat-like deity who naps for decades at a time and destroys planets when the mood (or the food) disappoints him.
Beerus is one of the most consequential additions to the Dragon Ball mythos: his introduction in Battle of Gods brought the concept of gods of destruction, the twelve universes, and the Super Saiyan God transformation — the foundation everything in Dragon Ball Super is built on. Despite being an antagonist in his debut, he becomes something closer to a terrifying ally, training Goku and Vegeta alongside his attendant Whis.
In the new series he's voiced once again by Koichi Yamadera (Japanese) — and his English voice actor Jason Douglas appeared at the New York Comic Con premiere panel on October 8, 2026.
